Hi everyone,

I have sqlmail set up on a server running sql server 7 on a windows 2000
server in a windows 2000 domain.

I can send a test email to an operator and send an email from a job when the
job completes. But when I set up a db maintenance plan to send email to an
operator then we get the following error message:

Emailing report to operator 'DBA'
[Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState: 42000)] Error 17966: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL
Server Driver][SQL Server]SQL Mail session is not started.

Has anyone seen this message before?

We are running sql server 7 with service pack 2. This is the only service
pack our application is supported on, and I'm wondering if we have hit some
kind of a bug.
