RE: OLAP Access in SQL Server

RE: OLAP Access in SQL Server

Yes, more specific question. Although they are bundled together, the applications are distinctly, and secured, differently. For SQL Server, use the SQLEM interface or direct administrative sp queries. For OLAP, use the AM interface--for this, you will need to be a member of the OLAP Administrators group on the server hosting the analysis services, even if you are already a local Administrator.

Sincerely,

Anthony Thomas, MCDBA, MCSA

Can you be more specific? Are you trying to access an OLAP server via a
SQL Server query?
