Yes,
I'm just encountering problems with two SQL 2000 linked servers.
Queries which used to take max. 1 minute now are running for hours.
No major changes in the SQL code, database configurations...
Even I'm using native SQL authentication, I still guess there is a Windows
network/ PDC problem causing issues to the underlying "Security Account
Delegation".

I guess you need a reliable Windows infrastructure, otherwise you'll get in
serious trouble.
