In SQL2000 I try and use NT Authentication using the sysadmin role. I choose
a long password for sa and then lock it up and never use it. I usually run
SQLAgent jobs on production machines as my own NT account which is a member
of the sysadmin role.
As long as the user is in the sysadmin role it doesn't matter. If someone
else wants to run a job you need to set up a proxy account, etc, all
explained in BOL.
Mark.

To: [Email Address Removed] running a scheduled job vs. as SA
What are the differences between running a scheduled job (I think that's
the SQL Agent account)
and as sa?
